Application Virtualization Solutions

Virtualization provides a cost-effective alternative to purchasing or renting actual hardware, applications, operating systems and other computing resources. We offer virtual services through our cloud hosting option that allows many users to share costs while operating independent virtual systems.

What is virtualization?

The technical term refers to the use of a virtual rather than an actual computing resource. For example, if a company needs a new email server, it may purchase an actual new hardware server to do the job.

A lower cost alternative is to use a virtual server instead. A virtual email server is a partitioned area of an underlying hardware server that is programmed to act independently like a hardware server. By partitioning a hardware server into many smaller virtual servers, cloud providers can distribute on hardware and maintenance costs.

In the same sense, if a company needs more storage space, they would traditionally seek a new piece of hardware like a flash drive or a hard drive for their server or desktop. Virtual storage space is an encapsulated division of a hardware storage device that acts in the same way as the underlying device.

A virtual server or a virtual storage space is accessible only to the owner or renter of that virtual resource.

What is cloud hosting?

A cloud host refers to a provider that offers virtual services sourced from its hardware and software.

For example, a provider might offer cloud servers that are partitioned into virtual servers. The term “cloud” refers to the multiple users who access the servers. The users share the overhead and maintenance costs of the hardware and software. In many cases, cloud services are offered on a “pay-as-you-go” basis in which users only pay for resources that they actually use.

Is virtualization right for you?

Choosing virtualization as an option is dependent on the specific requirements of the group or individual. If, for example, a dedicated hardware email server is too expensive or simply offers more than you require, then a virtual email server is definitely an option to consider.

Virtual resources act in the same way as the actual ones and are quite secure despite the fact that many users are sharing the same resource. The sharing scheme allows the provider to offer an independent resource to customers at lower prices than renting out a dedicated piece of hardware or a software application.

Instead of purchasing an expensive application, utilizing a virtual application offered by a cloud hosting provider is a great alternative that can provide significant savings.

Implementation of new hardware and software systems can consume time and energy in getting everything up and running. Virtualization packages are generally turnkey solutions and they can be easily scaled up or down, if your needs change in the future. In many cases, virtual resources are the only alternative because of insufficient funds to acquire or rent their actual counterparts.

Why waste money on a dedicated server when a virtual alternative will meet your needs adequately?
